Ingredients

  • 12 oz linguine or spaghetti
  • 1 lb Alaskan Spot Shrimp (Buy Now)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 6 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • Salt and freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan (optional)
  • Reserved pasta water (about 1/2 cup)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain.
  2. Sauté the Garlic: Melt 2 tablespoons of butter with olive oil in a large skillet. Add garlic and red pepper flakes. Cook until fragrant and golden.
  3. Cook the Shrimp: Add shrimp in a single layer. Season lightly with salt and pepper. Cook 1–2 minutes per side until pink. Remove and set aside.
  4. Make the Sauce: Add remaining butter, lemon juice, and zest. Add pasta and splash of pasta water. Toss to coat.
  5. Combine and Serve: Add shrimp back to the pan. Toss everything gently. Garnish with parsley and parmesan. Serve immediately.
